Merry Christmas!!! Wherever you’re reading this from, however you celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas day with family and friends. What are your traditions? Is it a 6am race to see what’s under the tree or do you take the privilege to snooze until you desire? What does dinner look like? Roast done right, a summer barbecue perhaps or a cosy gathering with the fire crackling? I absolutely love that a holiday with so much tradition can mean so many different things to each of us!
After spending Christmas Eve wrapping presents, writing in cards and baking cookies (all while watching Michael Buble’s Christmas special of course) I woke up around 9am. For all the planning and prepping, our actual Christmas day was pretty relaxed. After preparing this brussel sprout, pinenut and cherry salad – recipe by Blissful Basil – which I found on Pinterest – (I replaced pomegranate seeds for cherries as I couldn’t find any frozen in the supermarket)
I slipped into my Christmas outfit – this bellow sleeved, cropped black top from Rosebullet is so flattering and stylish but so comfy! and the gold and black checkered shorts are perfectly designed for a Christmas feast with an elasticated waist!
I kept hair and makeup simple with a slight bold lip, wearing ‘Twig’ by MAC. The afternoon was spent enjoying a festive lunch at my Grandma’s house with herself, my auntie and her husband and my mum. We exchanged good chit chat, a few laughs and gifts. A cosy evening in, watching Christmas movies and I was already falling asleep on the couch by 7pm.
Family from Sydney are arriving Boxing day so the rest of the week is consisting of lots of fun outings including a trip to the zoo and the Barossa Valley, dinners out, and for myself, back to work with the puppies. What does the rest of 2017 look like for you? As always I’d love to hear in the comments!
I only started my blogging journey in July but it has made 2017 so exciting and fullfilled! Thankyou to everyone for the support, for those talented individuals I’ve worked with and to YOU for reading this! I can’t wait to jump right into 2018 and continue to grow and better findingthegrey.net ! Until then, much love,
